I'm finally getting more interest now that it's approaching the holidays. Here are a few from my 2nd family outdoor portraits, on an overcast afternoon. CCis welcome.

They were concerned about getting nice foliage colors, and I made an effort to scout out a good location since the colors aren't great this year.

Love the fall colours. Nice set.
On #3 I would prefer the lady on the left to show more of her face. Maybe pull her hair back or turn her face a bit more to the camera.
Otherwise, good job.

The bike on the left in picture 2 needs to go.

In picture 3 I agree with nofuze with regard to her face being somewhat hidden. Also, this pose seems a bit awkward. Are these sisters or is this a relationship?

The kids are cute....a shame she tensed her hand in the last one. Not a picture killer though.

I think you did a good job with these.

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't know how to get rid of the bike. I was able to remove the sister in the boy photo because she was bending down and I just used a giant spot heal in LR but the bike is beyond me currently.

The two women are a couple.

These are all really nice shots although I agree with the comments made so far. I'd be tempted to boost the orange tones a lot more to really bring out the fall colours and maybe add a bit more warmth to the white balance.

Search some posing for women.. Referring to the #1 pic, the women should be turned a bit, never strait at camera. Also, kink in legs especially on outside people..
For another shot take a blanket with you and have the family sit on it. This will take the most practice at posing, this also would be beneficial for posing the ladies in the 3rd shot especially because their height difference..
I recommend Pintrest for photos of family sessions.
Luckily, my wife poses them and I shoot em..
Good luck!

Wish it would stay Autumn for longer, maybe I just need to travel more. I like the last shot, though the kids pants/boots tend to blend into the leaves a bit too much, using the same colours as the environment is great you just need a bit of separation (lower angle, a bit of grass, etc).

Adding to what EightElevel said, try to get a slight gap between between the elbow and side of the body for females in poses that allow it. http://bridal-twist.blogspot.com.au/2008/04/strike-pose.html (external link) Read the "get your elbows away from your body" section (just one of the first links that came up in google).

Thanks :-) It's a Sigma Art 1.8 50-100mm on a Nikon D500. It's a crop lens.
