Hi folks,
If you have used a panoramic photo mode on your smartphone, you have noticed that you can post a pano to FB and it will figure out that your image is a pano and permit viewers to flick and pan around the image, in a spherical projection.
If you make equirectangular, 360° panoramic images with a regular old camera and a pano head, for example, you can post them to Facebook as well and enable this kind of user interactivity. With a little bit of hackage of the metadata in the image file.
