So a friend of mine approached me about doing kind of a male budoir, or dude-oir if you will, type shoot to put a calendar together for his wife. First time with this kind of thing but I think it turned out great.

Haha as a guy looking at these they're not overly appealing but I'm imagine his wife will love them so you've done a great job.

HA, brilliant idea!

I agree, if that was a woman on the bed no-one would have noticed the sheets or they would have claimed it made it "sexy".

Love to hear from some of the ladies on the forum!

You rang?

It's less typical for women than for men to get lustful (aroused, romantic, "in the mood," whatever) by merely looking at pictures. I hope the client knows this. Countering this caution, of course, is that he knows his wife and I don't. But the poses suggest that he's mostly showing off his physique rather than engaging emotionally with the camera (as a stand-in for the viewer). Neutral expressions, almost severe expressions, no smiles.

I often have the same reaction to photos of women in G&N. Many models, carefully posed and expertly shot, end up looking sexy but impersonal.

Good job on the lighting in all three images.

It looks like a typical Sunday morning sequence.

Are you getting up?!

Are you just going to lay there all day?!

No, I'm not in the mood, the kids need feeding, the dog needs walking, the lawn needs mowing!

The fourth image would be him sat on the toilet reading the paper just for a bit of peace.

I'm happily single BTW lol

The idea is a good one.

The only awkward part for me in the foreground arm in the 2nd photo looks huge like a big beam of lumber slung across the front.

But I think a good calendar can become of shots like these. Don't think they even have to look sexy.
