12mm Zeiss touit and Fuji - which to choose?

Both are nice wide angles for the Fuji system.

On the wide end the 2mm can make a difference. But shooting wide open I hear the Fuji is a bit sharper tho the Touit is even just one stop down.

Will be shooting some wide open but stopped down a bit most of the time.

Any specific reasons to choose one over the other?

One is 12mm one if 14mm, both have AF both are sharp.

I only used the 14mm & it is a really nice lens but I can't speak about the Zeiss. I do have the samyang 2/12 and it's a good alternative if you can live without the AF. Have you thought about the 10-24?

I am not a big fan of zoom lenses. Prefer Primes whenever possible.

On the wide end the extra 2mm will make a difference at times. That is one big reason I've decided to go that way. Flesh it out later with the 16mm f/1.4 and a couple more and I'll be set with Fuji stuff. Would rather have the AutoFocus even with the wide angle. Add in the Zeiss looks like a work of art...

Picked up the Zeiss and in shooting head to head on the same subject matter the extra 2mm is welcome. Performance is so close I can't tell them apart. The Zeiss is a much nicer looking lens - to me. Beautiful to look at as well as in use.

The 14mm Fuji is going up on the Sale block as I'm using the Zeiss. Glad I got it.

Looking forward to seeing some Zeiss 12mm shots on here soon so.

I see that you already bought the Zeiss and enjoy it, which is awesome, but wanted to add that there is another 12-14mm option for Fuji cameras, the Samyang 12mm f2 and I highly recommend it (though it is a manual focus lens).

Have used the Zeiss before and really like it. MF on the mirrorless is damned difficult for me. That is why I don't go with manual focus lenses.

I do have the 14mm Fuji on the Classified section now.
