EOS 7D Mark II: failure to acquire GPS signal

I have had my 7DII for 2 years now. GPS was always very slow in acquiring signal. Now, it does no longer acquire at all. I leave the camera with GPS engaged outside under bare sky for an hour. Nothing. Anyone with the same problem? Advice woudl be very much appreciated. Thanks!
