Still catching up with shots from a pelagic trip out of San Diego on 9-OCT. Photography took a back seat to my first offshore birding adventure. I was mostly happy that I simply overcame my fear of getting sick and got on the boat!

100% sunshine all day made difficult shadows on most birds. This bird was on the right side of the boat for some pictures.

We saw all three Jaegers that day. I had previously seen a Parasitic Jaeger from a Lake Michigan pier so this Long-tailed was a lifer.

Congrats on the lifer, must have been a good trip. I guess the boat bouncing around didn't help either, thanks for sharing.
