I'm not sure why some of you guys do this, but I do it 1) for extra $$$ and 2) because I am social and I like to have fun!
I don't go in super serious and hide in the corner like I am just the "help." I like to get in there and have fun with everyone.
I often end up gaining new friends too!

So, one of the things I do is, I take selfies with the bride and groom! I know some people absolutely HATE the idea of selfies, but I embrace it instead.
If they are looking for a photographer who is just quiet and stays out of site and doesn't want one who likes to have fun and get involved, we just part ways. This is part of managing their expectations and I make sure we go over this. We have to be a good fit for each other.

These are some of the selfies I have gotten with clients!
If anyone would like to see the galleries for these weddings, here is the link >>> Blake C Weddings (external link)

What do you guys do to make it fun?! Feel free to share your photos too! Just have fun with it!

I can definitely see the benefit of get yourself in a few of your own photos. People can put a face to your name so they know before they even meet you that they're getting a fun photographer that they'll get on with.

Exactly! I find that if you are crystal clear about the type of photographer you are, you will get clients that mesh really well with you. Most of my google reviews are of people saying I'm fun and that I fit in with everyone. I'm just me really. lol

I got the idea for the selfie stick when I saw someone get one out at another wedding and everyone got overly excited about it and were yelling ,"Oh my God, a selfie stick!"
