I was a little nervous with this one because it was only going to be two kids instead of a larger family, so I wasn't exactly sure how to break up the time and poses. Fortunately I had a few this already in mind and thought of the kids at the tree on the spot. Still plan on tweaking the edits but let me know how these are so far.

Nice work! Watch your aperture. The girl looks slightly OOF in the first three. F/1.8 can be pretty thin DOF.

Overall - very nice.

What I like (mainly) is that you got to to their level instead shooting down at them. Background choices were good.

I agree with Tom above that 1.8 has its drawbacks. In picture #2 the girl's face is starting to get out of focus. It is more noticeable in picture #3 (although her eyes aren't much further back than his, they appear to be going soft). 1/160 should be plenty fast to take any shake out of the picture. You could get the ISO up higher to allow a faster shutter speed to see if feel there is any shake at all.

The girl looks cold in the first picture.

Good job - I suspect the parents are pleased with the results.

I agree with all this.

I would have preferred the boy's shirt tucked in. The blue hanging out makes an overdose of casual.

The photos as attachments didn't come through when I tried to quote them, so I'll use numbers.

#1, there's a lot of background here. You might try cropping a bit off the top and sides, see which version the parents and kids like better.

#2, maybe crop top and right side. The fence makes this a difficult composition.

#3, good, no complaints.

#4, this pose doesn't work for me because the boy's face got too much light.

#5, nice action shot (running toward tree), although it isn't what one expects in a portrait.

#6, an engaging emotional pose, shows the relationship, but I think you're following the rule of thirds too closely.

well #4 Rocks for me, and is an easy burn down in post. Nice set, they are stiff in a few, but that is something that takes time.

Agree with most of the posts. Kids are not easy and they can become stiff or the smile looks fake which it does on a few. I am also a big fan of not having the kids smile as much. I think in every shot the girl is showing teeth. She has such a great face, might have had her just give that straight look without the smile. Her eyes would carry the shot. And I also soften that darkness under the eyes on occasion.
