I have a RRS Small, Half-Ring Flash Bracket (B85QR) to which I attach a sync cord and then my Canon Flash to the hot shoe on top of the sync cord.
I'm using an off-brand cord since the first Canon cord I had broke.
The problem with this system is that the end of the sync cord mounts to the bracket with a thumb screw but the flash's weight on the hot shoe of the cord makes the thumb screw come loose quickly and all the weight is being supported by a little plastic plate at the bottom (into which the thumb screw is turned.)
Am I using this correctly? And what better way is there?
RRS advised that I could try adding a SA-QR-BS and a SA-QR1 but said that still might not make it much more steady.
Thanks - I hope I've made my situation clear enough that someone might be able to help?
Nic
