Hey. As the title states this was my first time ever working with a model for a fashion type shoot. I was working with the lovely Victoria Ashlee. I normally am a corporate event photographer but am not against expanding my horizons. These are just 4 of many that were taken tonight, and I edited these 4 to get some feedback from the more experienced in the group. Let me know what you think.

The photo with the dark background looks a little under exposed but the other 3 are very good for a first attempt at this kind of shoot.

very nice! I think you did a great job out of the blocks.

Just my opinion: the necklace falling off to her left distracts me. (#3, #4)

Thanks. I did notice that as well and corrected a few shots later. I liked these two though and didn't think it detracted enough to get rid of them. I appreciate your feedback.

Thanks for your responses so far. I'm looking at these for the first time on my phone and there is a noticeable green cast on the images that isn't on my monitor and also isn't on my phone in other apps. Anyone else seeing that? I'm on chrome on my phone.

I like them. #2 and #3 being my favorites.

On the light background it appears they're unevenly lit making a color cast on them.

Thanks! The white background was pretty evenly lit, but her legs were slightly less exposed than her upper body. I figured out where the green cast was coming from. I had recently switched to CC and had forgotten to export from LR in sRGB. It was exporting in ProFoto RGB automatically which made some browsers not be able to read all the colors and that's what was giving it an ugly green cast.

I think the other person had a point about the underexposed, at least in part of the photo. I like the overall look of her face. But the dark arm area seems almost awkward because it's smaller due to pose, and the other arm is more open and almost exaggerated due to light.

A small pop of light from behind on the other arm probably would have eliminated some of the lopsided feel.

But from the neck up, it looks great.

Thank you. Just from a photographer's standpoint, I was going for a more cinematic, dramatic look. Not really going for a evenly lit portrait like the ones with the white backdrop. I'll take a look at the image and decide if I want to lighten the arm up. Thanks a bunch!

I like them all especially 2 and 3. 1 and 4, the full body shots, the model looks like she's looking up slightly like the camera is a little high? Maybe it's just me. Anyway, I think they're all great shots.

I'd just like to point out this is being described as a model/fashion shoot. I think you've done an awesome job portraying the lovely model but if I were a fashion designer and these were my clothes, I would be very upset. The clothes are underexposed and not showcased well by the lighting and editing, like an afterthought.

My 2 cents.

The first one the camera was just a bit high, yes. I am taller than her and was not squatting quite as much as I should have been. Good eye!

Thanks. Yes you are correct. It was not a fashion shoot. The model was on display and the clothes were not. I have no idea who makes the clothes. In fact that black dress was a hand me down from a friend's grandmother. Thank you for your input. It will be very valuable should I even be hired for a real fashion shoot.
