I went to the canon site and it provides one price based on the camera model. Is the repair cost now based on purely on the body? For example I m getting $200 to repair a 7d. Is that the repair cost even if I drop the 7d from a 10 story high building?

You'll get an official estimate once they assess the repair which you can accept or deny. Sometimes not taking a photograph can be as problematic as taking one. - Alex Webb
