Going for a Meg Bitton type of edit. I plan on taking her editing class but since I know exactly 0 about how to use Photoshop I just have to try in LR until I get more comfortable with using it. This is supposed to look moody but let me know if it looks underexposed because I'm questioning the brightness of my monitor and I can easily adjust it and my editing.

I'd think about bringing up the background a smidge, it is fine here, but may print a bit dark.

I go overboard sometimes and will touch up the lips a bit in photoshop just to not have so much of a shine on them and I might add a bit of sparkle to the boys eyes. Otherwise, you did a nice job. Looks great on my monitor but as said earlier, might print darker.

This is a great image. It doesn't need much of anything if at all. You could use it to practice your PS/Lightroom portrait touching skills but using it as is would be fine too.

The thing that jumps out to me is the contrast. Its a stylistic choice to have a low contrast "hazy" image but its important to understand the contrast of an image. Check out your histogram.
I'm seeing this:

It shows me that the blacks aren't really black and the whites arn't that white. But again it could be a stylistic choice on your end.

I agree. I see this kind of processing quite a bit and I guess it's just kind of a current fad, if you will. Just my opinion but I think the hazy processing effect pretty ruins an otherwise good picture.

Looks fine. I like it just a tad brighter, but that is just my taste. I'd be happy if you gave me a shot like that.

A lovely shot Angela. The only thing that bothers me is: There's a light spot in the background at about 9:00 on the girls right side that looks like haloing. It's not, but looks like it is. I'd darken that down to match the rest of the BG. Very cut kids and the emotional connection comes through clearly.

I am on the phone, so cannot say about colours and whatnot /prbbly wouldnt do that anyways/. What's "moody"? I think its a great image and is moody as it this kind of photo can be :D I don't think it possible OR NECESSARY to try to bring something extra in.

Or I just failed in my own thoughts and unerstanding here, hah.

Lovely to see, how you're getting better and more consistent!

I like it, but I think its a bit too green - try upping the magenta a tad, makes a difference.

Wow. I'm impressed by how quickly you're improving. You're so good!
