Used my hss strobe last week with nikon D300. It was very difficult determining proper exposure by viewing the lcd screen. Any tips from others on how you handle this?

It can be tough to determine if you are too hot even with a histogram. Without the ability to shade the screen you could always try bracketing your exposures for safety if you have the opportunity. The more you shoot in those conditions, the better at chimping the base exposure you'll get. Would you like to buy a vowel?

I'm shooting now with both CF and SD cards, to use an eye-fi or mobi sd card that sends medium sized jpegs to a tablet which is much better in the sun or even when multiple people want to view images.

ImageMaker... looks like I picked a bad week to give up halucinagens More info | Nov 19, 2016 19:42 | #7 Experience too. Light, power, modifier and distance. You'll get real close feeling after a while. Then check for blinkies. I check histo and blinkies. As for sun on LCD... I usually do test shots before the shoot and shade the LCD as much as possible. It is a pain. I wear a hat outside and it helps shade the LCD. Nikons, Rolleiflexes, Elinchroms, Broncolor Paras, Billinghams
