With all the white balace tools out there I am looking for opinions as to which tool provides the best out come when doing in camera WB. 18% gray or the one's you place against your lens.

But outdoors I might use a pre-set for daylight because I want to keep the warm colors of a late light image. FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...

Nov 24, 2016 08:03 | #4 I am hoping to use it for the most part when I'm shooting portrait with my streaklights. It seams more often then not my shots are on the cold side and need to be warmed up all the time. Thinking custom white balance should help my workflow a bit. Thanks for the comments.

In the other thread you started on this subject we mentioned the ExpoDisc that can be used to set a neutral white balance, but it comes with gels that can be used to tweak the white balance towards a warmer setting for nicer skin tones.
