There are lots of great tutorials available online. I watched them over and over again. I like Julianne Kost's. I believe that's her name _______________

The nice thing about LR is that changes are not relayed directly to the original file and therefore considered non destructive, but of course if you make changes and export a copy you may well see issues, especially with Jpegs.
