This is my local airfield, Ludham Norfolk, it is about a mile and a half form where I now live. It was built initially I think in the 1930's as a satellite of RAF Coltishall. When Douglas Bader took over command of 242 Canadian Sqn after Dunkirk they were operating from here. It is still and active airfield, although the blister hanger has been moved from it's original location, since it is now situated in the middle of what is left of the main concrete runway, which I believe was installed during the war. It seems like there are three or four light aircraft based here, but I really need to get over there while they are flying in the local area.
