They get a lot bigger around here, this one is about 70mm from leg to leg when he spread his legs as far apart as he could
The white strip in the background is the cornice between the wall and the ceiling and that is 10mm high

Haha No
They aren't dangerous, they can bite but non venomous. They will run away as first line of defense. We used to pick them up in cupped hands and put them outside, now I leave them and get the camera
