Cool shot.

Not sure about the crop though. I'd either take away some empty space on the right to get near 2:3, or add more to get it to more of a pano look.

Great detail and pose, very painterly rendering.

+1 about the crop. Too much neg space in my opinion - if you tighten this up I think you'll have a very nice image.

You could take out some negative space on the right, but then you'd end up with a standard rule of thirds composition. I like the unusual composition as is.

It is a nice shot, the background has intriguing colors. The framing is OK, I don't mind it. Usually I would prefer getting closer to the bird, but this presentation also works. The open bill is good, it shows an activity. However, IMO it might have been better with the bird turned a bit to show more of a profile. Also the lighting is very direct.

Blacks get blocked - whites get blown out.

Plenty of detail in the blacks from what I can see. You might could boost the shadows a bit to recover a little detail, but I'd use a light hand.

Light looks pleasing to my eyes FWIW.
