The first two shots are too 'busy' - the bird that is in focus is masked by others which are out of focus. If I cannot isolate a bird then I take a wider view and try something more 'artsy' .Hope that makes sense. It is also only my opinion - keep on taking pictures and if you like them then that is what is important.

For me, I like the motion as it adds interest which I start to lose after seeing so many "perfect" shots of birds doing nothing. FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...
