I'm getting into off-camera flash and have a Canon 6D and 580exii.

I bought a Pixel Kings Transceiver and Receiver and am impressed with how they work.

Now, I'm looking to the future and the possibility of adding a 2nd speedlite or a strobe someday.

I think it's correct, that I could stay with the Pixel Kings and just keep adding receivers to flashes or strobes, right?

Now, I see this Flashpoint/Bolt/Godox flash with the r2 receiver built in AND strobes that also have the r2 built-in.

Would I be better off to return the Pixel Kings and go with the Godox triggers which would allow me to do what I'm doing right now (6D and 580exii off-camera) AND give me the ability to add additional flashes/strobes someday without having to mess with additional receiver units?

I hope it's clear what I'm asking and thanks for any help you might offer!

Nic

Nic.
About 5 years ago I was using a 580 EX II and a 430 EX. I was triggering with Pocket Wizards II's. Not always reliable due to weather conditions.
Then I need a third flash. Fortunately Canon just released the Canon 600 EX -RT and ST-E3 RT System. So I dove in headfirst. No more physical connections or barriers between. Having Radio Comunication and being able to the Off Camera Flash from my location. Increasing or decreasing power, E-TTL or Manual flash as well........now what about the existing 580 and 430.......you got it.....Trade them in for a second 600 EX-RT......
Since then Canon has released a smaller less expensive option in the 430 eX III RT.
Sure there are third party options out there.
However for me I have had almost 5 years of complete reliability in the System and am not about to switch out.
It's a big part of the jobs.

" . . . Pixel Kings and just keep adding receivers to flashes or strobes, right?"

No, because most (?all) Strobes are blind (except for triggering alone) to Pixel TTL receivers.

If you need TTL HSS type smarts fully across a network involving both Speedlites & Strobes, then it's:

Godox X1 or clones of same
Odins or
Jinbei TR 611/2 or
Canon // Phottix 'RT' environment

AFAIK.
