Large Organization Using Photo on Facebook Without Asking Permission

On another forum I belong to someone just posted excitedly that a large organization (>150,000 members of which I am one) took one of their photos and used it on Facebook. They made it clear that they were not asked permission prior to it being posted on Facebook. The person who took the photo was just excited his photo was being used and wanted them to know it was of his project.

It has been a few days since I first learned of this, however, I still want to write a letter to the organization. I hope it was just a mistake made by some intern who doesn't know better and is not indicative of the organizations typical practices, but who knows?

What would you do?

Before getting nasty with anyone about copyright I'd probably reconsider the use of ironic avatars.  :p

Haha, you made a valid point. I'd never thought of it before, but it could have implied a relationship with the company. It was just a photo I had taken a few years back and really liked. I doubt anyone would have mistaken it that way, but still a valid point.
