I recently purchased an A7RII and want to adapt my Canon mount Zeiss 135mm APO. I know the Metabones IV has a good reputation but was hoping for something less expensive because I don't need autofocus. I purchased a Signstek adapter, it was a good tight fit - no light leakage on the mount, but really bad internal flare in certain situations. Can anyone recommend a good adapter for manual focus Canon mount lenses? Again I don't care about auto-focus performance so was hoping for something less expensive than the Metabones IV.

This is my exact issue and will try the solution suggested.

I flocked my adapter with inexpensive velour paper and saw significant improvement. This is a severe situation where a very bright led spotlight is just out of the frame.

For comparison, the native Sony 55 1.8 cropped to the same view. A little flare is there too.

In the past I used Fotodiox adapters and thought they were OK for the price.

I second flocking your own adapter. I have one Commlite and one Fotasy adapter. They both sucked pretty bad before flocking. With $5 in flocking paper on eBay I would say both look as good as the Metabones.

Both of them have a little play on the E-mount side. The Commlite has a little play on the EF side, too. The Fotasy is snug, and seems to cause less errors when I use it with chipped lenses.
