I am looking at the Imapct 8' AC. It will be used for an umbrella (45" Westcott Convertible probably, haven't purchased it yet) and a second one eventually for a reflector holder (Westcott 5in1).

With sandbags would this stand work for light breezes? Should I invest in something else? They seemed 50/50 in reviews about outside use.

I was looking at the 6' but found many saying that they're worthless in any breeze even with weight as well as the 4lb limit (I figure the 7.5lb would allow another studio strobe eventually).

I like the price and weight. I can live without the AC or height.

Not for me. I'd find it inadequate for use outside with anything but a small reflector. I use steel stands and hang my Ranger RX Speed batteries down low instead of sandbags. Also, anything more than whisps of air is gonna be moving any umbrella around a bit. The weight of the steel stands allows for less sand bags. Both my outside stands have adjustable legs also.

Any suggestions for a stand? I want to keep it somewhat budget minded but would be willing to spend some more to get what I want

I haven't shopped for stands in a couple of years. I'd just look for steel, adjustable leg. 6' is to short for me, I've got 9 ft.
