Which would you prefer? I realize that the type/style of photography that you do could have a major impact on your answer to this question. I shoot mostly fashion, beauty and portraits; I use studio lights most of the time, but have been using natural light here and there too. I'm very lucky in that I have my own dedicated studio space that isn't terribly expensive, is centrally located, and has a giant 8-feet-wide, 9-feet-tall window (facing south). The only problem with my space is that it really needs to be juuuuust a little bit bigger; I'd be happy with an extra 100 to 200 square feet as that's about what I could afford.
In my building - which is a great place full of other artists' studios and creative business enterprises such as a jeweler, a small sustainable clothing company, video production, etc. - some time next year we are going to be taking over the floor above us and there are large skylights in some of the spaces up there and there may be the potential to move. I'm not asking this as a serious, I-need-to-decide question; this is more just for fun to see what people think.
