Received it today, and included was this. Does it have any function or use? It has what appears a tab on one end, but have been hesitant to pull, bend, push on it.

Side note, I'm kinda surprised at the cheap-ish quality of the Color Checker itself. I feel like it's going to break when opening it.

Doesn't look right to me, I've got two of the Passports.

That's what i was thinking, but I don't own a big one, just the passport.

When I saw this post the other day, i was wondering why they took off the last two grey/black squares. It even shows them in the packaging.

edit: actually after reading the OP i'm just confused lol what are the photos of? the actual color checker?

It is kinda cheap...I've been using mine about eight years and it's already showing wear on the case.

This is not the actual Colorchecker. It's a small credit-card sized, card-board thing that was included with it. It's not flimsy, looks like it has some stand on one end. Well I got real curious, and that end, the area above the 40th Anniversary, pops open to reveal brass contact points, like what's on a SD Memory Card. I don't know what I'd plug it into. I've tried it in my PC card slots.

It's a USB memory stick, stick it in a USB socket! I got given one once, it was very nice, credit card sized and made from Aluminium, about the thickness of two, or maybe two and a half credit cards. Had some commemorative stuff printed on it, I got it at a Disability Sport NGO seminar.

Thank you Alan. I'll have to try that when I get home. I'm at my granddaughter's dance performance.

Yup, USB memory card...I have done some contract work for a technology company who has given these memory cards away at tradeshows, as a promo gift and primary means of providing a PDF of the product brochure and other documents without all the weight of conventional printed materials.
