I haven't checked the firmware yet - thanks for the reminder.
Was just doing some of the basic set-up stuff; turn off the beep, RAW on CF, JPEG on SD - that sort of thing.
Why is that I have had the Tamron 17-50 2.8 for 4+ years, and NOW the autofocus noise is driving me nuts???? :)
Guess I'll HAVE to put a Canon 17-55 2.8 on my wish list too now!!!

I have a photographic memory, just wish I'd remember to take the lens cap off more often! :oops:
