On Friday, December 16, 2016, the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh will play against the University of Mary-Hardin-Baylor in Salem, VA to declare a new NCAA DIII Football Champion in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl.
"The first Division III National Championship took place in 1973. The Division III football postseason started with just four teams and expanded most recently to 32 teams in 2005. The field is currently capped at 32 teams by a vote of the NCAA Division III membership.
