Fast CF Card that won't break the bank?

Just got a 7D and would like a card that is fast. Not really for bursts, but more for transferring to the laptop. I have USB 3.0 and a USB 3.0 card reader. I don't really need/want over kill, but I'd like to be able to utilize the full speed of the card reader at least. It's just a hobby for me, so a huge card or multiple cards isn't my need. 16 or 32GB should be more than enough.

I use Lexar Professional 1000x cards in my 5D3. CF will always be more expensive than SD but the price of these cards are reasonable for the speed you get. The newer ones are labeled 1066x and rated for 160 MB/sec.

I have long used a mix of Lexar and SanDisk cards with my 7D.
Yesterday I purchased two SanDisk Extreme 32 GB UDMA7 CF cards.
Rated at 120MB/s (117MB/s actual when connected to my USB 3.0 reader - I have no idea in the camera) they are good value for money.
From experience there is no point paying for faster cards to use with the 7D - even for the high speed burst photography that is not a concern for you - and the 120MB/s rating is quick enough when transferring files via a USB 3.0 reader; it really reinforces how slow USB 2.0 is!

Here in the UK I paid £30 for my 120MB/s cards vs £50 for 160MB/s.
A search of US websites gave $35 for the former and $45 for the latter.

I was going to go for a 16GB, but there's not really a big enough price difference. I think I'm going to go for one of those Lexars! Thanks.

Lexar have excellent customer service. A year old 32GB card of mine failed which they replaced without fuss.
