OK peeps, I need some help. Hopefully this is the right forum for this, if not, moderators please move it where it should be, TIA.
I've got some older lights, InterFit Colorflash 300i. I need to replace the flash tube in one of them. One would think this would be somewhat of an easy task, right? lol. Apparently not, as I've popped the one I'm trying to take out. Anyone have any experience with these lights that can give me some insight??

Even if you had not broken the one already in the unit, it would have been challenging. Not only would you have need to match

  • form (dimensions particularly pin spacing, and shape) but also
  • Energy rating (Joules)
  • Voltage rating (minimum, maximum)

I have seen minimum Voltage for operation between 120 - 1600V, and max voltages have ranged from 600 - 2300V! The Energy rating (International rating units) is related to the Watt-second rating (American rating units)

You might try phoning B&H in New York; they have very knowledgeable staff and distribute some Interfit products, perhaps they can help .

Yep. B&H even helped me source 220v modeling bulbs for a 220v strobe I have from overseas.
