I read the Tokina is very sharp, are there any comparisons available on all specifications ?
Maybe it's a bit like the Tamron 24-70 2.8 but without VC then.

In past I tried the Tokina 24-70 2.8 VC, great VC for filming, but re-sold it due to the unhandy backward zoom. A new Sigma 24-70 2.8 Art OS would probably be too expensive in future. Primes of +-900 are allready expensive, but double the price standard 24-70 zooms of +-1800 are over the top... Did you mean Tamron? I tried one of those, too. I sold that lens really quickly. I didn't mind the backward zoom too much. I couldn't get used to using something that BIG and that SLOW. I use primes if I need aperture.

Yes I meant I had the Tamron in past, I didn't find this one big or heavy in comparison with the Canon 24-70 2.8 BRICK I re-bought Sony A7 III | Metabones V | Canon 16-35 F4 L | Sigma 85 1.4 Art | 70-200 2.8L II
