I've been through the manual and searched through all the menus, but haven't found a way to rapidly switch (using one button) from Silent Continuous Shooting (4fps) to High Speed Continuous shooting (10fps) on the 7D2. I'd love to be able to do this with the touch of one button, while still looking through the viewfinder. The best I"ve been able to come up with is to use the quick menu button in combination with the multifunction dial on the back. This requires me to preset the quick menu selector so the Drive Mode box is highlighted when the Q button is pressed. After pressing the Q button, I count clicks on the dial (3 in once direction, 4 in the other direction) and press set. Seems there would be a faster more precise way of doing this. There doesn't appear to be an option to assign one of the programmable buttons to do this. Any ideas?

This option is on the wish list of more than a few people. So far there does not seem to be any way to do what you want via one customized button.

Thanks. I figured as much. Was hoping there was a work around or something.

I have been whining on every forum since I got the 7D2 hoping Canon would add Drive Mode to the Detail Set. Now I added the whining to my 5D4 :-)
