I might be too busy next week, so I want to post what I have now.

I had a LOT of free time this month, so I may have a few extras. I'll start off with a couple "suns" ...

Sun
I wanted to take my sun photos without actually taking photos of the sun, so I just looked for dramatic strong sunlight, sunflares, etc.
Saw the sun bursting through this old ferris wheel at a defunct amusement park and thought it really fit the bill.

Sun
I spent a morning strolling around the Henry River Mill Village - the site of District 12 in The Hunger Games movies - and shot this one into the sun to get some sunflare happening.

That first picture is great and screams sun. The second picture makes me want to go there.
Looking forward to seeing what you post for the other topics.

Still working on the others, but here is a cotton field ready for the harvest. I did a little research out of curiosity, in the late 1980s Arizona produced 66% of the country's Pima cotton, now it's maybe 2%. I know much of the field land I remember from years ago is now overgrown with desert scrub.

That's really cool, seeing a cotton field with those mountains in the background -- not what I expect to see next to a cotton field!

Cotton
Passed a North Carolina cotton field while driving on a day trip and stopped to take a few shots. This was my favorite.

I'm going to use this post as a list of each month's topic-pickers.

If anyone who was a topic-picker any month last year would be willing to volunteer to take a month this year, let me know and I'll add you to the list. After that, I'll open it up to anyone else who was active in last year's thread, and then to newcomers to this year's thread.

JANUARY: MichiTimm
FEBRUARY: OldCrow
MARCH: OhioHick

Put me down for April!
