If only its release could have coincided with Apple's 2004 U2 special edition black and red iPod, one could have been quite the fashionable belle of the ball.

Anyway, seems like there's some utility to this particular edition's special 'feature,' although you can already get grip covers for Leicas at far less expense...but maybe the nubby tactility is worth several extra grand.

I like the fact Leica builds all of these collector cameras. I would never buy one but if it gives them the revenue to make great cameras like the MM and the M 262. Also helps that bottom line and helps them to continue to make great film Ms to.
