For those of you using the RRS L-plate what camera carrying system are you using? I like the Spider pro but not wanting to remove the L plate to be able to use the spider pro. I currently use the Peak Design camera sling with one of the anchor points to my current tripod Manfrotto mount and one anchor on the left camera strap mount location. I slowly wanting to change over to the arca swiss system so I'm trying to find a carrying system that will work so I can leave the L plate on all the time
I love the peak Design system for the reason of being able to remove the strap when on a tripod which I think will still work maybe with the RRS.

Looking for solution idea's from current user's of the RRS L plate user's mounted to the. 55 series ball head.

I take the l plate off to use the spider system. I also find the l plate makes the camera too bulky for every day use, on the 1dx at least. ymmv

I'm using the luma cinch strap with a RRS clamp. The clamp is specifically made for camera straps.

I will look at that clamp option. Is it bulky?

That's what I use, also with a Cinch and a Loop 3 from Luma Labs. It's a very easy on/off. The only negative is the price, but it's so nice to use, I tend to forget what I paid for it.

I'm using a new second generation L-plate on my 1Dx which has the QD socket built in. It accepts a military style rifle sling QR strap swivel which RRS also sells for $15 here:

The first generation Luma Loop straps also used this type QD fitting so I'm using my original Luma Loop strap. You can also change the threaded camera attachment piece of the Luma Loop 3 strap for the QR swivel. It works really well.

The only time I attach the L plate is when I'm shooting off a tripod. It's of no use to me otherwise.

I also use the new !dx clamp that uses the QD socket I have purchased Magpul Gen 2 MS4 Dual QD Sling strap you can get at Cabela'. I never take my L Plate off as I feel that it gives the body a little more protection, I am surprised that people find it bulky as the 1DX is already a large body.

Why do you assume everyone is using a big bulky 1Dx?

Right could be a 1dx MKii. With either camera I take the L bracket off when not using a tripod.

I use a Luma Cinch that I use with the Peak Design anchor links. One end attached at the L-plate, the other on one of the camera's strap loops.
It's easy to remove when I don't want a strap. Straps actually annoy me, but there are certain situations where I need one so I wanted to option to attach and detach it quickly.
With the anchor links, you can use whatever strap you like.

I leave my L-plate on full time and use an Op-tech strap with the connectors attached to the camera full time like so (not my photo):

I probably only have my strap connected 5-10% of the time. What is versatile about this is that 1) It takes about 1-2 seconds to connect or disconnect the strap, 2) I can also easily attach the camera to op-tech straps connected to D-rings on my backpack shoulder straps if I want to have my camera easily accessible when hiking. 3) It's (relatively) inexpensive, light, and very secure.

I do not assume that every one uses a 1dx camera I would leave the L plate on any camera body. In my opinion the size of the L plate does not add enough size to camera bodies to make that much of a difference.
