Very cool! This was my favorite event I shot all year. I wish I was close enough to see the F1 drivers doing the burnouts.

I'm not sure what's up with the exif, none of my recent uploads have it. Might have changed a setting in Lightroom without realizing, it wasn't intentional.

Camera was a Canon 7D2. Nighttime lens was a 70-200 F4L IS or 24-70 2.8L II. Daytime lens was the 100-400II for most track shots with the 1.4x extender being used in the corners for head on shots and up in the stands. 24-70 was also used in the paddock.
I edited the metadata on the pics I posted.

Thanks jeast, it was a a lot of fun and certainly a unique event.

As far as the camera info I have just noticed that almost none of the exif lens info listed is correct on my postings?

Sorry about that. I reuploaded my photos to fix the exif issue, I accidentally set Lightroom to scrub most of the info on export. Edited the post with the replacement pics.

I think you mean the glowing rotors. They get REALLY hot under extreme braking. Calipers hold the brake pads over the rotors and don't get hot enough to glow.
