Digital Camera Speed Challenge #446 - Motion Blur

I hope that I'm not repeating any recent challenge themes, but here goes...

We frequently convey a sense of motion through the use of blur - whether by showing a blurred subject or a subject in focus with a blurred background (panning)... show us your most effective use of blur to convey the sense of motion.

The challenge begins when posted, and will end on Wednesday, Jan 11, 2017 at 8 PM PST. The winner will be announced shortly thereafter.

CHALLENGE RULES:
1. Camera: Any DIGITAL CAMERA is allowed, (not just DSLR)
2. Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size: See standard P.O.T.N. Image Posting Rules.
4. Post Processing: Do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer in each challenge.
6. Details: Show camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data including ISO, shutter speed and aperture used.
7. Commenting: Please, NO COMMENTING DURING CHALLENGE feel free to comment in this thread after a winner is declared.
8. Content: Keep it clean, and both Family and Work safe.

Challenge closed. These are all amazing images! Great job to all of you! I'll post comments and the results shortly.

Here are my thoughts on all the images... I'll post the results in the opening post soon as well.

Splashdad - Really well captured! Simple and clean with just the right amount of blur. Great use of color against the drab water to draw the viewer right to the subject.

M_Six - I love these carnival ride shots! They produce some really great lines/patterns and vibrant colors. I would have liked to see a tighter shot on just one of the rides to really bring out the wonderful lines and colors.

Benitoite - This is great execution on such a simple object. I like the juxtaposition between the stationary and the running sand. Good separation from the background. There's some beautiful complexity in the neck, but for me it distracts a bit from the sand on the top and bottom.

OldCrow - Beautiful colors and pattern. Looks like fireworks, but I know it isn't. I also like the ghosting effect which accentuates the individual lines. What is it??

Tom Reichner - Great capture with really nice blur on both the background and the legs which really accentuates the sense of motion. I would have loved to see the legs in more of an outward position than inward but still really beautiful!

Thanks for the too kind words! I'm thinking of trying different lighting to try and highlight the sand for a future shoot. In this case it's just natural kitchen window spillage. With something closer I may need an ND filter.

Hye5, did a zoom blur on the lights on our holly bush outside. Then I cropped to what's in the photo and rotated it 90 degree to the left give it that burst look.
