Blame POTN design, as the Olympus 50mm f/1.4 is not in the officially sanctioned list of gear, and once I had chosen Canon 50 f/1.8 II from the list -- as an experiement -- it would not allow me to change the EXIF!

So now at least two of us prefer the OM 50 f/1.4 in spite of the fact that Mike Johnston gave it a pathetic score.

[edit: I just found the OM 50 f/1.4 listed in the list of Olympus 'standard zooms' :cry: so I edited the information for both photos]
