Got my light from Adorama, did a quick test with the bare bulb and seems to work fine, though there is a delay between pressing the test button and the flash firing. Anyways, three questions/comments:

1. How is everyone carrying this in the field?
2. How do you get the flash tube out of the head? When installing it, you push on the tube but now I can't pull it out. On AD600 it is much easier.
3. Adorama version didn't come with reflector, didn't know that. I think I will need a reflector from some place.

1+2) The bare bulb is friction fit, just wiggle and pull will get it out. Make sure the locking knob isn't pressing tight on it. I don't take bulb out at all. Get the the metal cover to protect the bulb when not in use. And after removing the charger, I throw all the pieces back the carrying case for transport.

I think I just need to stick to the 360's... I mean I really really really want these 200's since it's an all in one no cable/pack mess to deal with but at the end of the day....

Ok what am I kidding... I still really want these.

Seems odd the "kit" doesn't come with the reflector? (yet does come with the bare bulb flash head)

But glad to see it takes the same reflector as the AD360 :) :) :)

Yes, I thought Amazon kit and Adorama kits were same, guess not. Now wife will see another pkg being delivered, not good.

One the bare bulb in in I tend to leave them in and put protective sleeve over it.
There is no bare bulb reflector in anyones basic kit.
I have lots of them from 180, 360 purchases so I don't have to worry.
Also, I rarely use the 5" reflector more likely to use the umbrella reflector or a modifier.

I'm sold now. 400ws is 100 more than the 360ttl with more adjustability and options. Sure it's twice the price but oh well.

Dave, any nice wide umbrella reflector in case I need to use AD200 with photek softliter?

Didn't know they will fit. I have couple of 7" reflectors from the AD600s. For softliter I would think a wider reflector with shorter flange would be better.

Of course you'll need the Bowens adapter ;)
