You guys were right! I finally got the protective film off, and of course no scratches! Go ahead, say it- I told you so! Thanks to Helen and Adorama for getting back with me so quickly after posting to this thread. I ordered a second one on Friday, and it arrives tomorrow so I will know this time around. I think I'm going to order the dual bracket, and if I like that setup, I will likely order a few more of these from Adorama.

Sony A1, 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II, 70-200mm F/2.8 GM OSS II, 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS, 35mm f/1.4 GM, Viltrox 16mm f/1.8, 1.4X TC, Flashpoint flashes

I told you so ... but not as often or as loudly as Talley did.

TS Suggested it, I seconded that motion and gave proof, 3rd, 4th and 5th I told you's were Talley:). Talley is more into quantity but really stepped up his game with awesome MS Paint arrows :)

I just compared the eVOLV 200 (bare bulb) and EXPLOR 600 in a large Godox 120 cm Octabox in my living room. In TTL mode, the eVOLV 200 was able to maintain proper exposure to about f/16 ISO 100 or so, whereas, the AD600 could easily go to f/32. I guess the results are not all that surprising, but the little unit held its own even in a large modifier.
...

When using TTL, have you dialed in FEC? I did a quick test using FEC to drop the exposure and making the adjustment from the R2 transmitter. It didn't seem to have any affect on the exposure. I'm not sure if possibly I'm missing a setting somewhere. I was using the fresnel head, and the camera was set to manual, 1/160 sec. @ f/5.6.

I shoot Nikon (used to shoot Canon) and with my Nikon I typically dial in about -1 stop or more in AV mode for fill flash, but use no FEC when shooting the camera in manual (flash in TTL) such as an indoor event. It does work with all my R2 compatible gear when dialing it in from the camera or transmitter.

Okay, both the clamps and the stands are quite nice. The clamps aren't plastic like alot of the Neewer stuff, and the stands are pretty sturdy for what they are. I wouldn't use them in a wind (would in a breezy area, but with weights on the stand base), but would fine in calm areas, or indoors. They should support the AD200, hold pop-out reflectors with the Neewer clamps, or even hold a collapsible backdrop. And... they fit in the Pelican and Monoprice cases!

Now that I have the lights, the stands already have the necessary hardware to mount the flashes, but if I need to angle them, then I need to use the swivels that came with the kit. I also modified the Bowens S brackets so they hold the AD200. All of this fits into a 1510 case too.

- 2 x AD200 in their soft cass
- 2 x Bowens
- 2 x Neewer clamp adapters
- 2 x Manfrotto stands

And room to spare for other things, like one of the 2 TT685s or the X1TC, etc. Nice travel kit!

I ordered spare batteries for both of mine when I ordered, but I think they were about $56 each, so good deal. I keep one in the flash and the spare in the bag in the space slotted for the battery. They seem to have really good battery life, but good to have a spare or two as I like to rotate them with a fresh one before doing a shoot.

I broke down and ordered a second eVOLV, glad I got it before the price went back up.

I was using three Yongnuo YN600EX-RT II and their YN-E3-RT. Sold off the YN gear and now have two of the eVOLV units, a FP Zoom R2 TTL Li-on, and a FP Zoom R2 manual Li-on.

Hung on to my 430EX III-RT for use with my M5 and G5 x, it seems to play well with the FP stuff if I put it in one of the R2 receivers.

The eVOLV is working great for my RE listing shoots. I am using it with an el-cheapo flashbender clone I got for $9 on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com …smid=A1Y6JUJBKX8OBS&psc=1 (external link)).

Very happy and the FP units are a definite improvement over the YN gear. Even better now that I don't have to deal with keeping track of 28 AA batteries and making sure they are charged.

Anyone selling gels for these reflectors? I don't know why most mfg selling grids, gels sell those red, blue, green colored gels. To me, charge me more but offer 1/4, 1/2 and full CTO/CTB.

I understand the magmod system will work with the flash head, Bare bulb well, you have the same issue as the Godox 360's.
