Now with the very cool modular design of the AD200, Godox needs to design a beauty ring LED head. It wouldn't be too large, about the circumference of their reflector mod, maybe, but still could be very interesting.

EDIT: Never mind, they are already considering this!

The 3.6 Watt LED head is just one of the optional accessory heads coming for the popular eVOLV / AD200, which are likely to include ring lights in both LED and strobe format.

I have no idea what good a 3.6w LED light is though? Not even enough to be a flashlight, and I cannot see it being a good video light source?

Tonight I plan on getting things pulled together into the case, and will share pics of the new light-weight lighting kit. The manfrotto stands are pretty cool, I just don't know how long they last with use. Also, they only support about 3lbs I think, and the AD200 with Bowens S bracket might exceed that.

You guys were right! I finally got the protective film off, and of course no scratches! Go ahead, say it- I told you so! Thanks to Helen and Adorama for getting back with me so quickly after posting to this thread. I ordered a second one on Friday, and it arrives tomorrow so I will know this time around. I think I'm going to order the dual bracket, and if I like that setup, I will likely order a few more of these from Adorama.

It can happen to anyone.......in my early twenties I bought a stereo system. It was sleek, smart - had a great sound. But I was regretting the lime green flashes across the front, and moaned to one of my friends about it.

She strode across the room...............and peeled them off!! -?

3.6w even rated in LED power = ~36w. This doesn't seem like much at all.

Helen

While you are here can you pass along so info about the R2 flashes to those in charge at Adorama.

Adorama's number system for the Godox flashes in this thread.

https://photography-on-the.net …read.php?t=1483574&page=2

Basically
Adorama is making it confusing on people by renaming a R2 manual flash to a number that on godox would equal a ttl flash

Godox Li-Ion ttl flash (for canon) 2.4 Ghz = V860ii-c

Adorama r2 li-ion ttl (for canon) 2.4Ghz = V860Cii

Which is fine until you get to the manual version

Godox manual Li-ion 2.4Ghz = V850ii

Adorama R2 Manual Li-ion 2.4Ghz = V860ii This is only serving to confuse people as this part number in godox world would be a ttl flash.

Helen,

Is it possible for someone to perform the firmware upgrade for the ad200 and the zoom mini flash so they will be fully compatible with the Fuji system before I purchase them?

The firmware updates are windows only and I don't have access to a windows machine at the moment.

Thanks!

Yes, we can do that for you. Please email me: Helen@adorama.com; I'll need to coordinate your order via our sales team so that once the order has been confirmed it can be pulled from the normal packaging flow and be sent up to Marvin in our tech team who will take care of it.

I am really liking the ad200, I think I might sell one of my ad360s now! After going through everything, I cannot think of a situation where I need 2 ad360. I will get the new dual ad200 bracket and keep one of my spare bulbs, should I need 2 larger strobes.

I'm the same way. These 200s are perfect for my needs and two on the dual bracket gives me more power than I've had ever.

Nothing not to like. All in one small package awesomeness.

I got my first one back in May from CheetahStand.

I kept telling my photog friends that it was "a little package of pure awesome" and they would say settle down "its just a flash". I was like nooooo you dont understand its more...at least I see the same thing in others now.

Well damn, that's amazing CS! Actually wish I would have thought of asking before I ordered. Oh well, just happy to get my flashes so fast from you guys. Now just need to find a friend with a PC to up date them for Fuji!!

My number 2 arrived yesterday, but haven't got to use it yet. I almost ordered a couple more, but decided to wait since I already have 3 of their V860N II flashes and 2 of the XPLOR 600 strobes. I guess I like the Flashpoint R2 system!

Okay, one of my AD360s are posted up now for sale. At the next sale (Black Friday perhaps), I might pick up a 3rd AD200. The LED head seems like a waste of an accessory, but I am curious about what else in the pipeline.
