nice, I was thinking yesterday (as you do) that a single B52 bomber, has more jet engines than our entire airforce...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

A company I have now retired from used to make wheels for B52 Bombers, even in very recent years. They also made wheels for other military planes.

Here are 4 pictures of the B52 wheels (see next post for next 2 photos) The company I worked for only made one half of the wheel, another company made the adjoining one half.

Here is the wheel on a CMM (Co-ordinate Measuring Machine) being inspected - Note the water bottle placed in front for reference for size of the wheel which was somewhere in the area of 30 inches... sorry I do not remember the exact size

Here are two more pictures of the B52 Bomber wheels. The 2nd picture is now ready to be shipped fully painted.
I was not allowed to take it out of the box.

Interesting. My father worked for many years @ the Aircraft Wheels & Brakes division of Bendix, in South Bend. (which became Allied-Signal, now a division of Honeywell). Was your company affiliated with Bendix, or a competitor?

Yes, the company I worked for did the work for all three companies.

When my brother graduated from college back many many moons ago his first job was for Bendix in South Bend, then he was transferred to Kansas City, Ks which later changed to Allied Signal. He then retired from Allied Signal with full pension maybe back around 2000 or so. He worked with Titan missiles.

UH-72 Lakota. Not the quietest helo in the US Army but fast as heck. By the time I switched from bird-shot to aircraft settings, this guy was overhead and screaming like a banshee.
