In a couple of months, I will be photographing two special religious events celebrating the "coming of age" for 13 year old girls. Each teen presents a unique situation to show their "best" side. I have a G6, Canon 420EX flash with a Gary Fong Photojournalist 2 light modifier (powered by a Quantum 1+ pack), and Wein Digital slave to fire a Vivitar 285HV flash in a Photoflex mini-Litedome softbox.
Any advice on taking a flattering waist up, 3/4, and whole body shots would be appreciated.
Girl 1 - long and thin face/body, very long straight hair, mouth filled with a large set of silver braces
Girl 2 - "full face", a large waistline that extends beyond her chest, shoulder length almost sl. curled hair, no braces
Would this work?
Girl 1 - body shot almost straight on, closed mouth smiles (any suggestions for digitally removing braces in Photoshop?)
Girl 2 - body and face at an angle to "thin" the form
Thanks.
