Follow Focus for 24-105 EF's zoom when filming?

I am considering trying out a Atomos Ninja 2 for getting past the 30 minute limit on my 7D2. Also for the higher quality for performance work.

I'm thinking of using my 24-105, and thinking about using a follow focus for controlling zoom. Usually, they are very gradual zooms; but necessary. The 24-105 can get a bit bumpy when zooming.

Anyone ever used a follow focus on a 24-105?
