So my first light setup was the yn600ex-rt system with two yn600's and a yn-e3-rt to trigger them. Then I later added a couple alienbees b800 strobes. But with the yongnuo setup there had always been miss firing issues and am looking to switching over my triggering system over to pcb's cybersync system. My question is if I do switch to the cybersync, can I plug a cybersync receiver into the pc port on the yn600 would it trigger it to fire? Asking before hand before I spend a couple hundred to just test it out will eventually have all pcb strobes alienbees/einsteins but right now still have to utilize the yn600's for extra lights.

Reason I ask is because I'm not sure if the pc port on the yn600 is to send signal or receive signal.

Short answer is yes any of the PCB Cybersync receivers will connect to and trigger your YN600's using an "1/8 to pc" cable, when triggered by a Cybersync transmitter or Cyber Commander. You can still control the Manual flash power output of your YN600 via the YN-E3-RT in Legacy mode, even if you're not going to use it as the main transmitter. What are you using now to trigger your AB800's?

If you do not already own Cybersyncs and a Cyber Commander there are other alternatives. What are your misfire issues?

It's to receive.

Thank you for the reply and clarifying that and didn't even think of using the yn-e3rt in legacy mode to control the output of the flashes still. Currently I'm using the yne3-rx's to trigger the alienbees. The issue I'm having with miss fire is that with the rt system sometimes for some reason it won't fire one or more of the flashes/strobes. It's not just the rx units that don't fire the strobes it's also sometimes the yn600's themselves. It's not a recycling issue as I've had it happen numerous times while waiting 5-10 seconds in between shots and sometimes longer all lights showing ready to fire. Not really sure if it's an issue with the yn-e3-rt not sending signal or the yn600's/yne3-rx's not receiving signal.

My issues with Yongnuo RT products is well documented and if all the issues you are having is a few misfires then you're much luckier than I have been.

I really never had any issues with my YN-E3-RT's triggering my Canon 600EX-RT's except that they would lock up sometimes when they went to sleep to where I had to turn them "OFF" then back "ON". They also drain batteries if you leave them in for a few days. My issues began when I added YN600EX-RT's and YNE3-RX receivers. I have had a lot of triggering issues with the YNE3-RX receivers even when using them with Canon 600EX-RT or ST-E3-RT's as Masters. The YN600's are just junk and a poor excuse of a 600EX-RT clone IMO.

The Cybersyncs and Cyber Commander are some great products and worked very reliably for me when I was using them. I spent a lot of time and money over the years trying different systems to integrate Canon Speedlites and PCB strobes. I even abandoned that route when Phottix introduced the Indra 500. That adventure didn't go well.

Thankfully Godox came along with their X system. I have all my PCB strobes and Cybersyncs in storage now. I only keep them around in case I ever open a studio. I keep my Canon Speedlites around for "on camera" use. That's the one issue I have with Godox.

Wow yeah I'm definitely with you on that they also do drain batteries fast even when off. And I have seen your post about the issues you've had with the yn-rt system. Looks like I'll be changing over to the cyber commander/sync system here shortly. The miss fires are really starting to get annoying and I've missed some great shots due to it.
