Does anyone know if I get a Fuji x-e2 from Japan if I will be screwed with language and menus or are all their products the same and I will be able to make it all English in the menu?

I buy a lot of golf clubs that are JDM and I just looked at yahoo auction over there and no deals worth the hassle per say, but this may be a route I go if something comes up and the language change is easy.

Everything is relative.
Gear: 6D, Unholy Trinity:twisted: (24Lii, sigma 50A, 135L), and for the other ends of the spectrum, sigmaEX 14mm2.8 and sigmaEX 100-300F4.
Fuji X-e2, Rokinon 8 2.8 Fisheye II, Fuji 14 2.8, Fuji 18-55, Fuji 23 1.4

I would assume that all the x-e2's come with the same language options in the menus (theres are 35 or 36 different languages to chose from). So you should be fine with the menu language

It's the control buttons on the back I would be concerned with being in a different language and I do not know if they would be or not. Though I have never seen pictures of the back buttons in anything but english

Well I just bought a japanese one hahaha.

I will let you goes know once it finally gets here from the land of the rising sun.

I really dislike zoom lenses in sense that I just gelled with prime shooting for last 2-3 years and I really hope I didn't blow this but I did get one with the 18-55 becuase of both the crazy number of people saying what a good lens it is and calling it a kit is an insult, and at the end of the day, this is about convienence and my wife/daughter may use it as well.

So I got a mint xe2 with grip, 18-55, 2 batteries, charger, strap and 2 lens hoods? Etc.

Not the world beater deal I was after, but for everything it had (grip looks key and the 2.8-4 lens seems to be a lot better than the 16-50 and a lot more money) and the basically new condition of it, it seemed fair and I can always sell the lens and be at the kind of body deal I was after if the zoom bothers me that much.

So pretty soon I can share some images, but now I am really wondering what lens I need to get first? Maybe none for a while? I don't have a fisheye or a 80 or a 35 in my ff setup. So my Pentax 55 1.4 gives me the 80, the 23 is on long term radar, and I have seen awesome shots from the samyang fish so I may get that bad boy first, then work on the 23.....

I use my 24Lmk2 alot with my FF setup.

If your needing to purchase a prime lens I'd highly suggest getting the 16mm f/1.4. It's extremely sharp and accurate but still does not match the micro contrast of the 24Lmk2. However it's a killer lens!!

The 24Lii is by far my favorite lens. I love my art 50, and the 135 is great and all, but that 24 is just like the perfect prime in my mind. I sorta looked over the 16 because I have the 24......maybe I shouldn't.

The Fuji 18-55 really is a great lens. Use it for a bit and see how you like it. Worst case you don't like it and can sell it off to fund the purchase of a prime.

With that said, fujis primes are great lenses. I have just fallen in love with the 16mm f1.4, 35mm f1.4, and 56mm f1.2. But my 18-55 does still get some good use as I don't always want to carry around 3 primes.
