I needed a wide angle prime for my trip to Japan and wanted the best quality that I could afford. The 24 Art filled that need well. You can get it for around $700-800 US. It feels well built. I've heard of Sigma's issues in the past with AF and Quality Control inconsistency, but I took the plunge anyway. It is very sharp and I didn't really see much in the way of distortion. I didn't have any issues with AF, but I was mostly shooting <5.6 so it wasn't difficult. Sigma has really turned their company around in the last few years.
