I have done some tests and experiments with my RAW processing in attempt to improve both my skills and to see what's possible with problematic photos, mainly using DxO Optics Pro 11 and Capture One Pro. Here are my results so far..
This first test is done with Capture One Pro, the always problematic led lighting used at concerts is something of a headache to many photographers shooting concerts. How do you properly correct that to get a good normal exposure with proper whitebalance through the shot. Capture One Pro with it's sophisticated colour and white balance tools solved the problem relatively easy. Here is one example of my result. Not too bad is it ?

This other example of a dog is how i resolved a heavily underexposed shot with DxO Optics Pro 11 and it's various tools and tricks. This was rather easy once you figured it out and although this was shot with a cropsensor camera i got no visual artefacts even though i pulled up the shadows as much as i did. Plus the standard adjustments such as whitebalancing and sharpening and more to even out the final exposure helped rescue the shot. Normally this would have been trashed but now it's fully usable.
