Still trying to get used to this apparent new system where it seems you don't get very many comments, good or bad, Just an occasional "like" but anyway these two youngins survived to fly away as adults.

Well, I'll talk to you Mike, those are two very well taken shots, the details are spot on. Also I don't believe I have seen a young Dove before. Excellent work indeed!
I have to agree on your statement on the likes, comments are slow indeed at times, I remember the old days, lots of good times then.great folks too! It has been a pleasure knowing you Mike and your many magic perches, I'm moving along soon, always remember your RB's, great stuff

I remember you Bret, you were very active with a lot of great shots. It is flattering that you remembered me. Guess that is why I am missing the comments, you developed friendships and a closeness with strangers that shared the same interest as you did. I don't recall ever posting a shot or a series because I was seeking a "pat on the back" or trying to upstage or out do someone else. Sure, everyone enjoyed the positive comments but it was the critiques and suggestions coming from your peers on how to make it better that meant a lot and made me much much better at photography. Without the comments what's the sense in even posting? An anonymous "like" just font cut because you never know why they liked it. Who knows, it could be a not so hot photo of a cool hawk that gets you the "like" simply because the guy likes hawks.

Anyway, thanks for the comments and I'm sorry to hear that you are moving on. Here's a parting shot for ya.

Thank you Captain. Your signature seems familiar also. There are a couple of others I recognize but not very many. I'll be looking forward to your threads.

I'm somewhat new to the site, I'll comment.
You have a couple of nice shots there.
What lens?

Well done Mike! Traffic here sure has slowed down in recent times and I also miss the posts. I remember your frequent posts from several years ago and all your fantastic images!
