So, we bought 2 altura flashes as backups to our canon 430exiii-rts last year, before we got into OCF. There are two of us, one using the 3 430s..... and I was wondering if you think the alturas will suffice or if I should invest in the yongnou 560ivs?

What are you shooting with flash? Are you using ETTL, (or iTTL, for Nikon), or strictly manual?

How are the Altura flashes working out for you so far? If one breaks can you get it fixed?

What is it about Altura that causes you to think about replacing them, other than the name?

My YN-560's have always worked flawlessly, and I really like the newer 560-IV version with built-in trigger receivers, as well as the 560-TX transmitter. But recently I (and many others) have switched over to Godox because of the X1 trigger system and availability of bare bulb flashes and strobes that use the same trigger system for manual and TTL control, and due to the outstanding USA-based support from Cheetahstand and Adorama.

But the the Altura's are doing what you need, why spend money on replacements, particularly if it's only as a hobby. If you're using them professionally and are concerned about the name, put some gaffer's tape over the logo.

2 Altura flashes and 3 430's. Do you (often?) use multiple flashes? 2? 3? all 5?

When you're using multiple flashes, are you trying to get more power (by putting 2 or more flashes near each other), or projecting light from multiple directions? (In other words, is it a "power" issue?)

If you're thinking of the Yongnuo's it's not clear if you're planning to retire or replace any of the existing flashes, or what is it that you can't do now that you'd like to consider the Yongnuo's?

Mostly using Canon bodies with lots of different lenses and flash.
