Has anyone used one to offer a mini review?

Hi, Yes, I use a TR-A6 for Canon with my Jinbei HD600v. It works well, from a 7D or 5D III anyway, including remote M flash power adjustment and Supersync.

I used to think that it wouldn't work with Adorama's Rovelight 600B - but that is incorrect, as shown here:

.. just with slightly reduced functionality.

Does anybody know why the UK seems to be out of stock of these triggers?

Ordered from ebay.com rather than ebay.co.uk but wondering why it was neccesary.

It's a niche product. Many will be content with their original Jinbei triggers - and others will have moved on to higher spec lights than the HD600v. BTW, it's OK to order from Germany or France etc when required - less import duty risk, pre-Brexit, anyway.

Arrived yesterday and have been using it today. Everything works as it should but there is an odd thing happening.

With the trigger attached but switched off and camera set to aperture or shutter priority the shutter speed stays at flash sync speed of 1/200. In the case of shutter priority I can select any shutter speed but as soon as camera AF/metering begins it goes back to 1/200 for the shot.

Wary of having it attached now. Any ideas?

Edit: It only does it if trigger is set to HSS.

Hi, Which camera body & which Light, please. When I'm shooting with flash my camera is always in M - but I'll have a play later and report.

Yes, confirmed. I hadn't noticed as whenever I have the TR-A6 in place, I'm invariably in M on the camera - but you are correct. I'm testing with a 7D(original), my daughter has my 5DIII on extended loan!

The TR-A6 seems good enough to be useful - switching in & out of H & N remotely is handy, as are the confirmed remote power changes. I hit 'OK' briefly & listen for the beep response to confirm after any setting change. But it's not the most stable platform on the planet - my Odins (originals), originally for Speedlites alone, occupy that seat. They also offer timing adjustment via 'ODS' so I may revert to triggering my HD600v with an Odin - Strato II link and use the TR-A6 in-hand as an upgrade but just for remote settings adjustment, not triggering.

Thankyou.

Think I'll go back to using Yongnuo 622 triggers. Don't like the idea of there being an open circuit affecting the camera.
